Yes. It is almost 4 a.m.

So jet lag has struck my little Audra pretty good. Here it is almost four in the morning and she has been up since 12. Just playing. Playing the night away. I also am suffering from it. I am tired ALL day and but six I am ready to crash out. Not leaving me a lot of desire to blog. I will do a catch up post shortly. Right now I am going to leave you with this link.

It is a game. It's a fun and educational game that is also for a good cause. Play this game! This organization donates water just by you playing. "By testing your knowledge on the map shown above, each correct answer means you will be donating 10 cups of water." This game is fun and a little addictive. At least for me. I feel like I should know the answers and get mad when I lose. So I played it a LOT. And there is no limit to how much you can play. So, if you play often you can donate a lot of water to people that need it. It's better than playing just old solitaire right??

And in case you missed the link here is is one more time-http://www.freepoverty.com/

Sweet deals!

Today mom and I went shopping and I got some seriously sweet deals. It was loads of fun. Had I known how awesome it was going to be I would have taken a lot more money and not worn a dress. Haha. But we had a really good time and I made quite the haul for very little. Some of my favorites,
-A coat for when I get home and it's freezing. It's white and looks plenty warm. 12 dollars!
-FOUR long sleeve shirts for Audra that are super cute. I'll try to get pictures of her in them. 10 dollars.
-And these
How cute are those? I saw them when I first got there and they were marked ten. So, I moved along. Then as we were about to leave I was still thinking about them. I went back to offer 7 and she said 5! Yes please. Awesome. They don't look as cute in that picture as they really are.

Musings

Isn't everyone suppose to have a passion? You know, something they are good at and just love to do..
It seems like every has this except me. I have so many thing that I wish I could do.
So many things that seem like fun or even that I enjoy but aren't really good at. Misplaced desires I suppose.. Just wanting to find that little thing.

Can it be my daughter? I love doing things centered around her. I love playing with her, getting her dressed, feeding her, putting her to sleep, holding her. I know I can talk about her endlessly.

No. I don't think that counts.
Not sure what it is. I'll continue trying to find "my thing". Probably doesn't even make sense but if I figure it out I'll be sure to let you know.

Really I'm just rambling because it's my bedtime and I can't sleep.. Anxiety about going home. I'm so scared to go home cause what if I fail. What if I can't make it on my own. It's not like before. I have a precious little girl now. I can't just crash on people's couches and float around with no concerns..

Better try to sleep before I give myself an anxiety attack or something. Kidding.. Mostly.

Psalms 71
1 In you, LORD, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame.
2 In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;
turn your ear to me and save me.
3 Be my rock of refuge,
   to which I can always go;

Sorry

Sorry about my lame posts recently. I'm headed home soon and trying to get everything in order. LOTS to do. I'm so thankful for everyone that has been offering me help. It sure is making things easier. So, until I have more time, I'll just keep leaving little things for you.

Bacon and Cheese Biscuits with gravy.

Yes, bacon and cheese biscuits with gravy. They are as awesome as they sound! I think it's my new favorite meal. But a warning, it is not for those on a diet. HAHA. No, no, no. But after tasting it you may just give up that diet anyways. :)

I couldn't fine a recipe that I liked for biscuits, because I don't have buttermilk and I don't like cutting them out, or kneeding them. So, pretty much I just wanted a lazy biscuit recipe. Couldn't find one though. Here is what I came up with.. I think.

Bacony cheesy goodness.

Biscuits
Bacon-I used 5 strips but I think it definitely could have used more than that.
2 1/4 cups Flour
2 Tablespoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Butter- If I had to guess I'd say I used a cup, maybe a little more of butter. It doesn't come in sticks here, though. I know that's a lot, I'm sure if you cut it back some it would still be fine.
1 1/2 cups cheese- I used cheddar.
1 cup milk

Now preheat oven to 390F or 200C. Then fry up that bacon until good and crispy, saving grease if you're making gravy. Crumble up the bacon.
In a large mixing bowl, use a pastry cutter, or fork, (or spoon or hands or really anything you fancy) to combine flour, baking powder, salt and butter, until crumbly. (It works better for me the butter is good and room temperature). Add bacon and cheese. And then the milk. Mine looked too wet at this point but I was out of flour so I went with it. Worked just fine. Now drop onto baking sheet and cook for 15 minutes and they'll get nice and browned. (One more extra note, I had limited flour and I didn't accurately measure anything. So just eyeball stuff. :) )

They went fast so I only got two pictures.

Now for the gravy. Gravy is an enemy of mine. But I love it so I continue to try. It turned out GREAT this time. Was a nice color and no lumps! I'll give the instructions on how I make it but if you're someone that likes to have measurements than this isn't for you.

Shot I got after everyone dug in.
Gravy
Heat up that grease from the bacon. Depending on the size of the group you're feeding that may be enough. I had to add some more butter and melt it in. Altogether probably 10 Tablespoons of grease for me.
1/4 cup of flour, to start with. Whisk it together until it's clump free and blended. Continue adding tablespoons of flour the same way until it's no longer runny. And is more pasty. Once you get that, slowly (while whisking) add 2 cups of milk. Just keep whisking until all smooth, then cook until it thickens up and add another cup of milk. Continue adding milk until yours is thin enough. Just whisk vigorously until smooth.

I know that's not really a "recipe". I'm sure one of these days I'll do real measurements. :)

Ten favorite.. things about Audra

In going with my "ten favorite things" and the fact that it is Audra's FOUR MONTH birthday, I thought I'd say ten of my favorite things about this beautiful and wonderful little girl.

1. I love that she wakes me up with smiles every morning.

2. I love that every single part of her is ticklish.

3. I love that she knows who I am and gets excited when I reach to pick her up.

4. I love that she stills nurses and I get have that wonderful bond with her.

5. I love that she makes me laugh just by being so cute all the time.

6. I love that all she wants to do all day is play with me.

7. I love how snuggly she is when she wakes up from her naps.

8. I love that she growls all the time.

9. I love that ears stick out and she has "elf ears" (That's what Mill calls her)

10. I love that she is my daughter and I get watch her grow and develop and take care of her everyday.

Enchiladas!

Last night I made enchiladas with homemade enchilada sauce. *ohh ahh* Yes. You should be impressed. My mom loves enchiladas so that's why I made them, and they turned out mighty good. They were a hit with everyone, except the four and under crowd. But when do they ever eat what's for dinner?? (How do you get little ones to eat what you make?) Anyways, this was fairly easy. It was more of an enchilada casserole than real enchiladas but still good. Once again no picture. Sorry.

Enchiladas
2 cups diced or shredded chicken breast
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (10 oz) can red enchilada sauce - (or make your own!!)
Tortillas-Original recipe called for corn, I used regular.
2 cups Mozzarella cheese
1 (8 oz) container sour cream

Preheat the oven to 375°. Heat a large skillet over medium heats sauté chicken with Garlic salt, and whatever else you like to use when you cook your chicken, until chicken is cooked through. Transfer to a medium bowl. Stir in the black beans (and green chili peppers if you and yours like them)

Spread half of the enchilada sauce over the bottom of an 11x7 inch baking dish. Place 4 tortillas over the sauce, overlapping if necessary. Spoon half of the chicken mixture over the tortillas, and sprinkle with half of the cheese and half of the sour cream. (or like I did, mix the cheese and sour cream together because it makes it easier to spread)

Spoon the remaining enchilada sauce over the cheese, and make another layer of tortillas. Layer the remaining chicken mixture over the tortillas.

Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.

Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top and dot with sour cream. Continue cooking, uncovered, for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until cheese melts. (I usually skip this step on recipes. I must say, it really makes a difference!)

And here is the enchilada sauce if you'd like to make your own. It was incredibly easy.
1 1/2 Tablespoons of Olive oil
1/2 tablespoon of flour
2 tablespoons of chili powder (ish)
1 cup of water (or chicken stock, I didn't have any though)
6-8 oz of tomato paste
2 teaspoons of garlic salt

Heat oil in a saucepan, add flour, smoothing and stirring with a wooden spoon. Cook for 1 minute.
Add chili powder and cook for another minute.
Add water, tomato paste, and garlic salt
Stir to combine. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes. The sauce will thicken and smooth out. Tast it and add seasonings to your preference.

Ten favorite..

New blog post idea. Listing ten of something that is my favorite. I got the idea from Kate when she listed her 11 most influential authors. I have always looked up to Kate and she has been a great example in my life, even if she doesn't know it. So, we'll see how long this ten thing lasts. It might be an Ellen DeGeneres type thing and be only once. Haha. This time I will list my ten favorite christian songs.

Jubes

Our first couple of weeks in Singapore we would go to the grocery store for dinner stuff and the person that went would also pick out an after dinner snack. It had to be something we'd never tried before. Sweet or salty. Just whatever we saw that intrigued us. One of the first things I bought were "Jubes." They just looked interesting. They look like the pears inside a fruit cup. Surprisingly, there were people that liked them. I was not one of them. I can honestly say it's the strangest thing I've eaten. Not because of the taste though. There are different flavors, all were enjoyed by someone. We have tried Pandan, Grape, Strawberry, and Lichee. I'm sure you're wanting a better description of them. So, I asked each person individually what they thought. Here's what I got.
Mill-"Kinda wiggly and umm.. it sounds a little bit crunchy."

Kati-"Disgusting."

Kori-"Kind of pushy..., so when you sink your teeth into it it's not like a gummy bear. They push into it but you still can't cut it in half with your teeth."

Dad-"I don't know if I can describe it... *long pause* Fruit juice...... Meets styrofoam, meets snot."

Mom-"Little square piece of plastic filled with soft plastic and gross juice, tasting of dead skunk."

Asa- "Like chocolate."

I also think that they taste like juicy Styrofoam. I don't like them. Dad and Asa, especially Asa, chow them down.

Cinnamon Roll Cake

I have to say, I am not the biggest fan of cinnamon rolls. I would trade pretty much any kind of dessert over it. Except for cake. Because I really don't like cake, or cupcakes, or anything else with the word "cake". But recently I just had a craving for them. I had been seeing SO many recipes online for them and they all looked so good. I decide I would just make some of my own. Then I came across this recipe for cinnamon roll cake and I thought it would be faster and easier to make, I was making it for all seven of us so easier is always what I choose.

Cake:
3 cups flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 ½ cups milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup (1 stick) real butter, melted

Topping:
1 cup (2 sticks) real butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon cinnamon
3/4 cup chopped pecans, (optional) (always measure the nuts first then chop them)

Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
1. In an electric or stand mixer mix the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, milk, eggs and vanilla. Once combined well, slowly stir in the 1/2 cup melted butter. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix the 2 sticks of softened butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and pecans until well combined. Drop evenly over cake batter by the tablespoonfuls and use a knife to marble/swirl through the cake.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick comes out nearly clean from center. You want to make sure it's done. I like most things underdone but cake is not one of them.
4. Place powdered sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Whisk until smooth. Drizzle over warm cake. Serve warm or at room temperature.

A few things. One is that I don't have a stand mixer, or hand mixer, or anything except my hands here in Singapore. So that did add to the time and would have been even simpler had I had one. But it can be done! Also there is a LOT of butter in this. The topping calls for two sticks and I thought that sounded a bit much so I only used one but left all the rest the same and I think you would be fine if you wanted to cut that down even more. Once it was baking I kept checking it and it was bubbling and didn't look right. I pulled it out and all the butter had separated from the cake and was just on the top. I was pretty confused cause I had never bake anything that did that before but after letting it sit for a minute all the butter just soaked up into the cake and I served it hot. It was a big hit. Everyone loved it. I would definitely consider making this for a potluck or something in the future.

The "Mega Mac"

I haven't blogged in a while. I've had a lot going on and just haven't felt like it.
I feel better now. :)
We've been trying to do family stuff out here in Singapore. Mom, Kati, and I went on an "adventure". I've also done LOTS of cooking. So many recipes that I want to share. I'll get to it.
Right now, I just have to tell you about the "Mega-Mac". It is a burger you can get at the McDonalds here in Singapore. My dad ordered it, probably more because I dared him to and not because he actually wanted it.

This thing has FOUR meat patties and three buns. Not only did he finish the whole thing but also had fries and a coke.

A better view of the awesomeness. Haha.
Oh, one thing I forgot. They DELIVER here. Yes, you can call them up and place and order and then a guy on a moped brings it to your house. Like this guy:

He was a good sport and let Dad take his picture.

Tagged.

I have so many blog posts that I want to do. I'm such a slacker though. My mom did a post in which she was tagged after other people had done the same post. I would put a link to that post but I can't get it to load. So, she tagged me and now I'm going to do it. Hopefully one of these days I'll catch up and blog for real.

Jet lag stinks

I've come to the conclusion that jet lag is just plain awful.
Audra and I were so worn out.
We felt like this.
Audras' sleep schedule is still off. She doesn't sleep through the night anymore.

I was so excited to post pictures all the time of all the stuff I do out here and everything and then. I lost my camera. :( It really stinks. So, for now, no pictures of Singapore from me.

Audra doesn't roll over yet but she can get on to her side and when on her stomach it looks like she gets close. It's so exciting. She is getting bigger, still talks all the time and has fun watching her aunt and uncles play with her. She especially loves her aunt juice who is 6 months older. Juice also loves her. Sometimes too much and Audra gets accidentally hurt by her excited aunt.

We haven't done too much yet but we get our vehicle today so I'm sure we will be able to start doing more. And I'll tell you all about it when I can.

I'm still here.

Just in Singapore. Tired and busy. And tired.
Did I mention tired.

No time

I've got a recipe I've been needing to post but I've been really busy. We are leaving tomorrow morning! Ah. Can't believe it. Still not even ready. And my grandparents are coming today and a good friend of mine and I'm making dinner for my family tonight cause I feel bad for them in that tiny hotel. Whew. Lot's to do. but baby girl is sleeping so I cant do any of it yet.

Here are the cookies though.

Welp.. Just kidding. Have no idea where that recipe went.

They were pretty good though. Just chocolate cookies, not too sweet, with lots of nuts and chocolate chips. They were suppose to have coconut as well but I didn't have any.

How about a baby picture?
Ok, you talked me into it.

Happy girl..

Singapore Update

Singapore here I come!
So, there was a delay but not too big of deal. We will now be leaving on Saturday. I am once again excited but I have SO much to do still.
If people actually read my blog I would ask for packing and airplane tips but I know that that would be useless. :)
Welp. Better get busy.

Ten, ten, ten.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  8Love never fails.

Today we had a guest pastor at the church. I missed most of the sermon because I had to go and put Audra to sleep. But that's ok. Part of my job as mommy. I asked what everyone thought and got mixed reviews.
Later went to wal-mart with Jo. Slip and fell because the floor was wet. WHILE holding Audra. That's right. It was terrible.

Friday, Christie and Jordan and I all went to Dona and Jo's house. I made dinner but no one wanted to eat it. (Forgot pictues AGAIN, sorry) So, we had pizza and then played games. We played Mad Gab and the funniest one was when I was repeatedly saying ARE AY TEE SPELLS RAT and had no clue what I was saying. Took forever to guess it.

I have a meal planned for tomorrow so here's hoping I take a picture for once.

Oh and by the way. Today is ten ten ten. Fun fact.

Singapore Update

So, we were suppose to be leaving on Wednesday to go to Singapore but we aren't.. There were some problems with visa's and the plane tickets had to be canceled. Now we aren't sure when we are leaving, or honestly even if we are. Should know early this next week so I'll be sure to update.

And I am currently up too late because I got distracted looking at baby clothes. Look at these:

So many blogs, so little time.

I remember just a few years ago that I heard the word blog and thought "what does that mean?" And now everyone and their dog have blogs. You can honestly find a blog about just about anything. Video game blogs, Medical blogs, Poop blogs, and of course the oh-so-many Food blogs. (I haven't read any of those except the food one, btw) So, I just thought I would post some of my favorites and the ones that I check at least once a week. I'm always looking for new ones, too.
These are also in no particular order.

This one is quickly becoming very popular but I have been reading it for over a year. http://www.postsecret.com/. Sometimes it can be inappropriate but that is the beauty of it. People send in a postcard, like this,
and write their secret on it. They send it in, anonymously, to be read, to be able to share it with someone, anyone and to not be judged for it. Sometimes the secrets are horrifying, sometimes sweet, or funny, and sometimes heartbreaking. But most of the time, when you're being honest with yourself, what they really are is relate-able.

This is my moms blog. It is usually about herself and her family, including me, I check it everyday and she has actually got a nice little following.

This is Abraham Piper's blog. Which is John Piper's son. I have been a Piper fan for a long time and was so excited when I found it. His blog is so funny. It's usually got the latest crazed meme and just whatever he finds online that's funny. Definitely worth a look.

His wife, Molly, also has a blog. They have four kids, most recently a newborn set of twins. That's usually what she talks about. Though she has been updating much lately.

This blog I use a lot because she has a lot of good recipes. She also has stuff like sewing and photography and just other house-wifey, womanly stuff. (to be  not so PC, lol.)

http://stephaniecooks.blogspot.com/ -Another good food blog. Lots of good desserts, which are my favorite.

THIS BLOG is completely hilarious. Warning it does have a lot of bad language. The blogger gets on craigslist and such and e-mails people to mess with and irritate them. It is so funny.

Since I'm going to Singapore soon I searched for lots of info on it and found this blog. Um, most likely it won't interest you unless you'll be going to Singapore soon or if you just REALLY want to know about it. But it is informative and funny.

Things We Forget is a very unique blog and everyone should check it out. Someone that lives in singapore writes and draws little sayings on sticky notes and then leaves them all around singapore. It's pretty cool.

And last but not least is Cake Wrecks. It is always good for a laugh. Pictures and commentary on professional cakes that have gone horribly, hilariously wrong.

Gonna go and read some wrecks now while Audra is still sleeping on me. :)

Cradle Cap Gone.

I have decided this should be called magic in a tube! Probably wouldn't catch on though. Anyways, it's a line of all natural, organic baby products. And no, I'm not getting a cut by advertising it, I really just love it. Audra was starting to get cradle cap pretty bad and I used the Soothing Cream and after one day, three applications, it's gone. It was amazing. It has probiotics in it, maybe that has something to do with it? Who knows.

Yesterday, some of my mom's friends, gave her a surprise going away party. It was a lot of fun. I enjoy getting out of the house and Audra is big enough now that, if it isn't for a long time, she doesn't get all out of whack. So, for the party one of the things I made was a pie. A peanut butter chocolate pie actually. And I would show you a picture but I forgot to take one. It was delicious though. I think everyone like it. At least they said they did!

Recipe

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

3/4 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup sugar plus 1/4 cup for whipping cream
1 8 oz package of cream cheese
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips
1 graham cracker crust

Combine the peanut butter, sugar, and cream cheese until smooth and combined. Transfer to a bowl and then with a clean beater - whip up heavy cream and the rest of the sugar.

Fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture and add into the pie shell
Melt the choc chips in the microwave for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes and either drizzle on top or cover the entire top.

If I knew where I found this recipe I would post it, too but I have no idea.
But after making it I now have a few tips. One, make sure you use cream cheese that actually is room temperature or the whip cream doesn't "fold" into the pie. Also, and most importantly, DO NOT out an entire bag of chocolate chips for the topping. It makes such a thick layer of chocolate that you can not cut through it. I tried and ended up breaking the whole pie in half and some ended up on the floor. So I was thinking, either drizzle chocolate on top or do half of the chocolate on a layer UNDER the pie and then one on top so that they're both thinner or maybe even a mixture of the two.
Try it out. Quick, easy, delicious.

Survivor!

                                                                 Survivor Nicaragua

I love survivor, all reality t.v. actually, but especially Survivor. I was so glad that they sent Shannon home on Wednesday. Definitely the right choice. I like Chase and Brenda. And the Kelly with one leg. Oh, and Fabio. I know he's as dumb as rocks but I like him. On the old tribe I like Jimmy J. and Yve. The girl that stole the shoes?? What is wrong with her? I agree with the tribe that she is crazy!

Horror Story

The “shortest horror story ever written” is usually attributed to Frederic Brown:

The last man on Earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door.

Food pictures and christian warfare..

So we had a pretty crazy night last night at our house. It turns out that our church is under some major demonic attacks and we found out last night. There has been some serious praying and repenting going on after realizing the severity of it all.
We have a pastor in response to a call coming to preach on Sunday and I think that may have a lot to do with it. I'm pretty excited to see this guy if Satan is going through so much trouble to cause problems right before he gets here. Make me very hopeful for our hurting and broken church.
On a lesser note I recently have started baking a lot. I love to bake. Love love love it. but, I'm not very good. I'm good at pretending to be though. Lol. Anyways I just keep doing it because practice makes perfect, right? Well now my dilemma is that I don't know how to take food pictures. I tried today, only they didn't turn out so good. I'll go ahead and post them anyways.
I made some Oreo Truffles. Which is really just about one of the easiest things to make ever. The only part that is a pain is dipping them all in the chocolate, just because it takes some time. All you do is get a package of Oreos, I almost got newman O's but was too scared it wouldn't turn out the same, stick them in a blender or food proccessor then stir in a package of softened cream cheese. Roll into balls and chill in freezer about ten minutes, but the longer the better. While doing that melt a bag of chocolate, I used Ghirardelli milk chocolate and it was delicious. Then dip the balls in it and put back in fridge or freezer until hardened. I also found that the hotter the chocolate was the easier it was dip because it wouldn't go on as thick. I started out using toothpicks but soon gave up and just used my fingers. That's probably why mine weren't so pretty. But still delicious!
Have a look.
Also, why is my little baby getting so big??

I'm still here..

I didn't post over the weekend because Audra and I went out of town with my family to go see my grandparents, probably for the last time before we leave for Singapore. It was nice to be able to see everyone but it was hard because it was a three hour drive and Audra got tired of the car seat. Also, first time we've really stayed the night anywhere and she didn't like being away from home. So, there was more crying that usual at nap and bed times. She is two months old now and I can't believe it. SO big and it goes by so fast. And what a chunk. She weighs 12 LBS. already!

I love being a mom. Of course there are some things I miss but this is what I really love to do

I'm getting so excited about Singapore too. Just a couple more weeks and we'll be on our way. It's going to be such an adventure. After the weekend away I'm really dreading the 24 hour airplane ride. It will either be really easy or really not. Lol. We'll just have to wait and see. I have been doing so much research and have so many things that I want to do when we get there. I'll be sure to post all about it. And take lots of pictures.

Well need to get some laundry done so that's all for now.

I will NOT quit!

So, this is what happens everytime I start a blog. I have started THREE then I post once, maybe twice, then I go delete it. Well not this time! I left but now I'm back. I really want to keep a blog, especially now that I'll be going to Singapore soon. I want to be able to document all the fun while I'm there. The reason I stopped was things got crazy cause I had my baby. She is beautiful and will be two months old on Saturday. Her birth was really hard on me (that story soon to come) and before that we moved and everything and I just got so busy. But I'm determined now to keep this up. I love reading blogs and in another post soon I'll share some of my favorites. I'd like to post everyday but I'm sure that won't happen. So, my goal is three times a week. That sounds doable. Then if I keep up maybe I'll tell my friends and family about it. Just not until I'm sure I can keep it up. Ok. Well here's my new start.

It's Monday

So, on Saturday I got up early (ha, before seven is early for me!) and went to garage sales with some friends of mine. I had wanted to go to get stuff for Audra. I still have quite a bit of stuff that I need to get. We went to garage sales for six whole hours and I didn't get a single thing or even see anything that was for babies. It was insane. And it was so hot that when I got home I was so swollen that you could not see ANY part of my ankles and my flip flops were leaving indentions on my feet. I don't think anything else happened Saturday..

Sunday we got up and had church. Our church we get there at 10:00 for coffee, doughnuts, and fellowship then at 10:15 we have prayer time with small groups of people. Then at 10:30 the service starts. Bro. Jack gave us the message this Sunday on conversion. I love Bro. Jack and his wife Pam. I found out that morning that he had polio and was healed when he was 14! I found that pretty amazing. We no longer have night service at church we have home studies. I go to the one at my house, it's just for ladies. Candace led it this week and the main point, I think, was pride and humility. Candace is also starting something called prayer sisters. Where we are matched up with another woman at the church and we are to communicate with her and share our burdens to be able to lift one another up, grow closer, and most importantly pray for one another. I'm excited for this to get started. I think it's really going to bring some woman in the church a lot closer and we'll see some definite blessings from it. THEN that night, we met up with my best friends mom at a Mexican restaurant for dinner. It was a lot of fun. We talked about making it a once a month thing.

And that brings us to today. On Monday nights we usually go to my grandmothers house for dinner. We being myself and Mom and Dad and all my siblings (five of them in total). But this Monday it is canceled because they unfortunately have put their house on the market because they are moving to another town. Which makes me very sad. Right but dinner is canceled because someone will be going to look at the house tonight.

My doctor appointment is Wednesday, I'm looking forward to it. I'll be sure to let you know how that goes. Guess that's all for now.

Decided to start a blog.

So, today I decided I would start a blog, obviously. Not that I have anything important or crucial or even particularly interesting to say. Just because it's something I have not done before and it might be fun. I probably will talk a lot about cooking and baking because that is one thing I love to do. Also, about babies and all that sort of thing because I am currently 36 weeks pregnant with my first child. Her name is Audra and I am just counting down the seconds until she gets here. Hoping doing something, like blogging, can take my mind off of it because I feel like I'm going crazy waiting. I'll probably add things that are going on in my life, things at church and just whatever I fancy that day.

Today, actually in just a little bit, my wonderful mom will be coming by to pick me up and we are going to make a little trip to the hospital where I will deliver. Just a little meet and greet thing, get a tour, fill out some paperwork, that kind of thing. Also today, my dad left the country. His mean (not really) job sent him to Singapore on business and he will be gone for a month, which means he will most likely be missing the birth of his first grand child and I won't have my dad there with me.. It's pretty stinky but it will be ok. I hope he has a good time at least. My best friend is also currently out of country. She is on a three month mission trip in India. She has a blog detailing all of that if you're interested. It's phojotography.blogspot.com. I miss her terribly already and she won't be back until the middle of August! What a long summer it will be.

I just finished washing Audra's clothes, so I need to get those put away, and mixing up some cookies, they're in the fridge and I need to bake them now. So, I'll just leave you with this first post, hoping someone reads it and I'll talk to you later.
